Aslab Pty. Ltd. is a privately owned company and began trading in July of 1990, as the first specialist independent asphalt design and testing facility in Western Australia. Since that time the company has diversified to include a comprehensive range of construction materials testing, but remains strongly focussed on its specialist field of asphalt. We have been involved with a number of major contracts both in Western Australia and overseas. These include: Extensions to the Kwinana Freeway; Container Terminal and Loading facility for B.H.P; The West Coast Highway extension through Servetus Street; and the Mitchell Freeway Overpass at Eddystone Avenue. For a section of the Kowloon Expressway Hong Kong, and for the Southern Runway at Chek Lap Kok Airport Hong Kong, Aslab carried out asphalt design and quality control work and acted as Technical Consultant. Aslab is NATA accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 to carry out tests in the following fields: - Asphalt - Aggregate - Soils - Concrete In addition, we operate the only commercially available UMATTA testing facility in WA, for determining both the Indirect Tensile Modulus and the Uniaxial Loading Strain of bound materials.
