Australian Unified Services

Fast and Cost-Efficient Computer Network, Desktop and Support Services
Australian Unified Services was established in 2001 and has been providing Computer Network, Desktop and Helpdesk services in WA for the Corporate, Not-For-Profit and Government sectors from our bases in Albany and Perth. We specialise in the provision of services to organisations with multiple offices in Outer Metropolitan and Regional/Remote areas as well as the Perth CBD and interstate.

We design, implement and manage wide area computer networks (WANs) to link offices in CBD, Outer Metropolitan and Regional/Remote locations in a fast, secure and cost-efficient manner. Our tried and tested solutions generally out-perform traditional networks based on Frame Relay or leased lines.

Our Desktop Management Service saves your organisation money by extending the life of your existing equipment and eliminating time-wasting computer crashes by the introduction of a centrally managed Standard Operating Environment (SOE) for all PCs. Optionally we include a Software License Management service which ensures Pirated Software is not used within your organisation whilst at the same time reducing waste by allowing the reallocation of unused software between departments and locations.

Our Computer Helpdesk Service provides telephone support for all staff IT problems using advanced remote management tools to diagnose and solve problems, with on-site visits where necessary.

We work with your existing suppliers for computer equipment and software to maintain compliance with State and Local Government Public Tendering and Buy-Local policies.

Design and Implementation of a Wide Area Network linking the FPC Headquarters in Perth with outstations across WA including Albany, Bunbury, Busselton, Collie, Esperance, Guildford, Harvey, Kalgoorlie, Katanning, Kununurra, Mandurah, Manjimup, Nannup and Wanneroo. Our staff were present at all these locations and managed the migration from the old network based on Frame Relay at 64 kBit to the new Australian Unified designed network at speeds up to 1500 kBit. This 20-times speed increase was achieved without significantly increasing the annual IT running costs.

Design and Implementation of a Standard Operating Environment to standardise the computer desktops at all FPC locations including full user mobility between PCs at and between any location, the virtual elimination of time-wasting computer crashes and the extension of life of existing PCs. Our staff were present at all FPC locations and managed the migration to the new SOE.

Provision of second-level Computer Helpdesk services, complementing the internal first-level on-site FPC IT Support with our own extensive experience, including remote diagnoses and staff on-site.
