| Finding a Business or Product The business search tool (Boolean technique) looks through EVERY word or group of words within each entry in the Business Directory. Results with the highest number of 'matches' appear first. Using the "Boolean" method, you can find any anything such as - Business Name (eg you only know one word in the name, just enter that word eg "western". - Product type (eg isp, internet, software, sprinkler, concrete) - Subject Category (eg advertising) EXAMPLE You're looking for an advertising service to market your temporary vacancies. Your could try "advertising" "advertising AND newspaper" "advertising OR newspaper" related words such as "marketing", "employment", "jobs" Common Boolean requests MUST BE IN CAPITALS and include some of the following options AND OR AND NOT OTHER SEARCH TIPS: 1 - Select one or max 2 search words first. If you get too many matches, then add additional search words to isolate the exact items you are looking for. 2- Search words are Non case sensitive.... eg "Advertising" or "advertising" are OK. but don't use "ADVERTISING" 3- Hold down 'Control' and hit the 'F' key to run a word search of what's already displayed on your computer screen. BROWSER TIPS: A- Hold down "Control N" to open a new browser window. B- Hold down the "Shift" key whilst using your mouse to select a hyperlink, this will open the link in a new browser window. C- Hold down "Alt" and hit the "Tab" key to switch between various programs on your computer. D- Hold down 'Control' and hit the 'F' key to run a word search of what's on your computer screen.
